Finishing a roll feels good. Choosing between scans, prints and negatives can feel less familiar. Here’s what each choice means, and what actually goes in your first package.

That first look at your film.
The people, places and small things you decided to photograph, finally on your screen. These are real lab scans, not promises about how a first roll will turn out. Exposure, focus and the camera all shape the result.

Your order includes developing the supported film you send and scanning it at your chosen tier. Scans are digital photo files. They arrive in an emailed gallery, so you do not need to buy paper prints to see your photos.

We’re Kyle and Paulina, the people developing and scanning your film in Walla Walla. If the label on your film leaves you unsure, send us a photo of its outside before ordering. You do not have to guess.
We process color film on our Noritsu QSF-V30, develop black & white by hand, and scan on our Noritsu LS-1100. The gallery email is your invitation to see the results.

Build your order
Read the outside label and match the supported film type. Choose scans, then decide whether you want optional prints or negatives returned.
Pack it safely
Pack your finished roll or whole disposable camera with padding and your order number. Do not send a reusable camera; follow its instructions to rewind and unload the film.
Send it our way
Mail your package to the lab, or use The Showroom drop box in Walla Walla. Choose postage for the actual packed weight.
Look for check-in
We email when your package is opened and the rolls are logged. A carrier’s delivered notice is not lab check-in.
Open your gallery
After development and scanning, we email your gallery. View the photos, download your files and share the link.
Usually 3–7 business days from when we open your package and log your rolls. Busy periods can take longer. Carrier transit and delivery are separate from this estimate.

A straightforward JPEG choice for viewing on your phone and sharing.
Pro 4KJPEG
JPEGs with more room to crop if you want a closer view.
SuperPro TIFFTIFF
Larger TIFF files for people using an editing workflow. Not a required upgrade.
Paper photos. Original film.
Paper photos are optional: add 4×6 prints now or choose favorites in your gallery later. Negatives are the physical originals; choose a return option if you want to keep them.
Cut & Sleeved returns your film in strips in sleeves. Uncut & Sleeved returns it uncut in a sleeve. Don’t Return Them means no negatives back. Prices update in the form when you choose.
Getting film to us
Our Mailing Label is prepaid postage TO the lab, emailed after payment, for a packed package under 1 pound. Choose My Own Postage for heavier boxes and buy postage for the actual weight. My Own Postage means no label purchased from us—not free carrier postage.
Getting physical items back
Return shipping for prints or negatives is separate and calculated at checkout. The inbound label does not cover that trip. Local drop-box orders still need return shipping if physical items are coming back.

How do I know what film I have?
Read the outside of the canister or camera. 35mm color negative film often says C-41; black & white is a different choice. Use Not Sure Which? in the form, or contact us with a photo of the outside label. Never open the canister or camera to inspect exposed film.
Do I send the whole disposable camera?
Yes—send a disposable camera whole and unopened. For a reusable camera, rewind and unload the film according to the camera’s instructions and send the roll, not the camera.
Are scans the same as prints?
Scans are digital files delivered through your emailed gallery. Prints are photos on paper, purchased separately. You can view and download your scans on a phone without buying prints.
Which scan option is a good starting point?
Standard 2K gives you JPEGs for everyday viewing and sharing. Pro 4K gives you JPEGs with more room to crop. SuperPro TIFF gives you larger files for an editing workflow. Every option includes digital scans; prints and negative returns are optional. Standard 2K is a straightforward choice if your main goal is viewing and sharing. A paid upgrade is not required.
Should I keep the negatives?
Negatives are the physical originals from your camera. Choose Cut & Sleeved or Uncut & Sleeved if you want them returned for safekeeping. The return option costs extra, with physical-item return shipping separate at checkout.
What goes in the package, and how do I send it?
Include your finished film, padding and your order number inside and outside the package. The Mailing Label is prepaid postage TO the lab for a packed package under 1 pound. It is emailed after payment. For heavier packages, choose My Own Postage and buy postage for the actual packed weight. My Own Postage means no label purchased from us; your carrier still charges for postage. Return shipping for prints or negatives is separate and calculated at checkout. The mailing and local drop-box addresses are listed above and in the order form.
When and how will I see my photos?

We email again when your gallery is ready. Open the emailed gallery on your phone or computer, then download and back up your files before its availability date.
What if my photos are blank or do not turn out?
Development reveals what was recorded on the film; it cannot undo missed focus, exposure mistakes or light leaks. If a roll comes back blank, a free roll credit lands in your gallery. One per order. That applies to a whole blank roll, not individual blank frames.
